Declaration on accessibility for demo.studip.de

This declaration on accessibility applies to the Stud.IP installation at https://demo.studip.de (03.01.2024, Stud.IP version 5.4) of Stud.IP e.V.

In accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we endeavour to make our websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

The accessibility requirements result from §§ 3 paragraphs 1 to 4 and 4 of the BITV 2.0, which was issued on the basis of § 12d BGG.

This Stud.IP installation is not fully compatible with the generally applicable accessibility regulations. In detail:

On the start page, there is no provision of explanations about the website in easy language and in German sign language.
It is possible that use on mobile devices (especially smartphones) is not completely barrier-free. Stud.IP is primarily designed for desktop computers, laptops and large tablets, although responsive navigation has already been improved in the past.

In addition, content posted by users, e.g. PDFs or videos, may have barriers.

The following measures to reduce barriers will follow:

A sample declaration on easy language is to be included in Stud.IP version 5.5.

Conciliation procedure

If no satisfactory solution has been found after your feedback to the above-mentioned contact, you can turn to the arbitration centre in accordance with § 9d NBGG. The arbitration centre in the office of the State Commissioner for People with
Disabled Persons at the Lower Saxony Ministry for Social Affairs, Health and Equality has the task of supporting out-of-court dispute resolution in the event of conflicts on the subject of accessibility between people with disabilities and federal public bodies. The arbitration procedure is free of charge. No legal assistance is required.
